Protection with Style not Bulk

Let’s face it, if you have a mac, iPod or iPhone, you have been in search of the best way to protect your new found love and still keep those great looking lines of your latest masterpiece to come out of Cupertino.  The crystal films for the iPhone and iPods were a great way to keep the front looking great without adding any distraction.  What about the back or like me you let your iPod go ‘Oh Naturale’?  [Enter] GelaSkins Inc.  I was watching episode 198 of DL.TV and Roger Chang had some sort of art piece covering the lid of his macbook.  He got this lid cover from GelaSkins Inc.  All I have to say is WOW!  I checked out the web site to take a look at their offerings.  Not only do they have protective covers for the macbook and macbook pro but iPods and most importantly, the iPhone.  The iPod offerings are really neat in that there are both a front and rear protective sticker giving you a real full coverage offering that flows fluidly as you look at your new device.  In addition, if like me your iPod is showing its age with fine scratches front and back, the GelaSkins will rejuvenate and send your iPod back to a time when it was first recorded being un-boxed.   The iPhone offering comes in the form of a sticker for the back of the phone (cutout for the camera lens) and a free downloadable wallpaper for the iPhone’s display.  The best part is that the wallpaper is offered for free.  If you are unsure of which design to go with, download the wallpaper and live with it for a few days.  I did that to finally make my decision on which protective sticker to purchase. GelaSkins is based out of Canada with a list of U.S. based distributors that has nearly tripled since I purchased mine.  The packaging was great and the instructions on how to apply couldn’t be clearer.  The product can be applied and re-applied if any adjustments are needed easily and without any sticky residue left behind.  There is a cross hatch of grooves that allow air to be pass making it easier to apply over other similar products. Now I know I keep calling these things stickers but they are certainly far from that Smiley Face on your notebook.  These are made from a product that was designed for automotive applications.  As a side benefit to the primary function of protection, the Gelaskin adds just a bit of grip to your electronic device making it harder to slip through your fingers and easier to grab out of place such as your pocket or a backpack.Check them out!  You wont be disappointed and they will certainly bring new life or add that little bit of uniqueness you have been looking for.  If you have already used these before, leave me a comment and let others know how much you like yours.
