wordpress plugins | what i use

All this talk about blogs, content creation, traffic building and adsense had made me do a lot of searching and testing.  After having to go through the whole trial and error phases with many plugins, I decided to see if some of my favorite bloggers had created a list of plugins they used.  Well I probably should have done that first.

I decided to put together my top plugins that I have tried and am currently using.

Configurable Tag Cloud: A tag cloud widget for Wordpress 2.3 to allow the changing of style options from the Widgets control panel. By Keith Solomon.

AdSense Manager: Control and arrange your AdSense & Referral blocks on your Wordpress blog. With Widget and inline post support, configurable colours. By Martin Fitzpatrick.

All in One SEO Pack: Out-of-the-box SEO for your Wordpress blog. By uberdose.

Comment Plugger: Gives a list of that last people to comment on a post, with a link to their site if they provided one. By Nick Momrik.

Google XML Sitemaps: This plugin will generate a sitemaps.org compatible sitemap of your WordPress blog which is supported by Ask.com, Google, MSN Search and YAHOO. Configuration Page By Arne Brachhold.

Most Commented: Retrieves a list of the posts with the most comments. Modified for Last X days — by DJ Chuang www.djchuang.com By Nick Momrik.

Preview Theme: Allows themes to be previewed without activation By Dougal Campbell.

Subscribe To Comments: Allows readers to receive notifications of new comments that are posted to an entry. Based on version 1 from Scriptygoddess By Mark Jaquith.

WP YouTube: WP YouTube allows you to control all the YouTube videos at the same time. By Jens Törnell.

Wordpress Automatic Upgrade: Wordpress Automatic Upgrade allows a user to automatically upgrade the wordpress installation to the latest one provided by wordpress.org using the 5 steps provided in the wordpress upgrade instructions. Thanks to Ronald Huereca for making the plugin run in automatic mode. By Keith Dsouza.

Well, when I started I thought it would be a small list but soon realized that I have more than a couple plugins running. I started my blog with only a couple and those were the All in one SEO, Auto upgrade and AdSense manager. After interacting with readers, I found that it would be a good idea to have the others. This is by no means an exhausting list of the seemingly limitless plugins available.

So what are your favorites and what are you using now?
