Seen my moo card?
So I was asked several time about my moo cards since I posted about them. I’m still excited that they came and can’t wait to give them all out
moo cards have arrived
I finally got around to ordering some moo cards a couple weeks ago. I had seen them online and trolled the flickr moo card group. There was even a little article in yesterdays Wall Street Journal about calling cards and how unique they have become. I could have just done up business cards but i wanted to try something different that would be more memorable. I have to admit, I was also just plain curious to see these things up close. I thought about uploading my own photos but in the end opted for a simple pre-design with my own text. I was satisfied with it online but when I opened my package, I was just blown away. Not only did I get my cards but i got a little bonus sampling of the stickers you can also order. I opened my box and was just giddy with how well they turned out.
What you don’t know about Moo cards? That’s ok, I’m finding that a lot of people don’t know about them.
To put it simply, MiniCards are little cards with your photos or
designs on one side, and your details on the other. We like to
think of them as little calling-cards that you hand out to keep
in touch with friends, or new people you meet. MiniCards are
28 mm x 70 mm and can be personalized with images from
our partners, with pictures from your desktop or MOO
designer’s images.
Pricing: 100 for $19.99 / €14.99 / £9.99
What I was most surprised about were the size and detail. I know the measurements (see above) but I have a problem where I really have to physically hold it to get the size. These things are tiny (which I like) and surprisingly crisp in detail, much like an iPhone and why I probably like them so much. I can really see the facination with these little gems. Not to mention the limitless possibilities of what you can creat with them. The wheels are already turning to figure out what I can come up with next…stay tuned
What’s been your experience with Moo Cards?

SDK released | iPhone users still must wait
It had been said for months that with the release of the SDK for the iPhone/Touch, apps and additional features would not be available for at least 3 months afterwards. I was a bit more optimistic in hoping that we would see something on the day of launch. After all some developers were already working with the SDK and c’mon Apple, you know you have too. So why the big wait? Apparently, we will all have to wait for the new firmware to be released (2.0) in June. Wow, does that possibly coincide with a 3G iPhone launch right before the holidays? Seems like the right timing for Apple but as always we will all have to sit back and enjoy SMS optimized EDGE speed. So what does the SDK mean for us?

Apple Conference today!
So much excitement today. @ 1pm Apple will be holding a conference for the iPhone SDK. Already, there are reports of applications that will be released for iPhone and Touch alike. Today may just be the day we get the features we have all been waiting for while beta testing the iPhone ;). Surely, Apple will have some apps ready to go following the conference. 4 hours and counting and I’ll have some answers, I hope. If you want a play by play of the conference, head on over to Engadget or Macrumors for live coverage.

I just happened upon this nice little bit that uses Flickr photos to render whatever word you want. That’s right, you can spell with Flickr using a small little app created by Erik Kastner.

All this talk about blogs, content creation, traffic building and adsense had made me do a lot of searching and testing. After having to go through the whole trial and error phases with many plugins, I decided to see if some of my favorite bloggers had created a list of plugins they used. Well I probably should have done that first.
I decided to put together my top plugins that I have tried and am currently using.
